PG AutomationsAI operations for trades
PG Automations · The Trade Accelerator

AI is coming for your desk job. It isn’t coming for the trades.

A twelve-month program for people with no trade background who want to own a field service business rather than work a job that an AI can do. You choose the trade. We give you the systems, the pricing, the hiring, the client acquisition and the software — the same stack we used to build a $5M landscaping group from nothing in fourteen months.

$50,000

+ GST · 12 months · payment plans available

The program is built around a $200,000 twelve-month turnover target. It is a target, not a guarantee — see the note at the foot of this page.

Trades are not immune to technology. They are immune to being done from a data centre. Someone still has to be on the site. The question is whether you are the one holding the shovel or the one who owns the business.

The honest comparison

You could buy a Jim's franchise for less. Here's the difference.

CeilingYour territory and your own two handsWhatever you can hire and systemise

If you want a job that pays well and comes with a brand on the trailer, buy the franchise — genuinely, it is a good product and it costs less. This is for people who want to own something they can eventually step out of, and who would rather not hand over a royalty for the privilege.

The work does not move to a data centre. The admin does.

How it works

How the twelve months runs

Four phases, in order. Each one has work you do and work we do with you.

Months 2–3

Months 7–12

01

Months 1–2

Choose the trade and the market

Which trade, which suburbs, which service mix, what the competition charges and where the gap is. We do the market analysis with you rather than handing you a template.

02

Months 2–3

Set the business up properly

Entity, insurances, licensing pathway for your chosen trade, pricing built off real cost-to-serve, and Op3ro configured to your services and rates before you take a single job.

03

Months 3–7

First clients and first crew

Lead generation that works for the trade you picked, the quoting system, and hiring your first qualified tradesperson. You are managing the work, not doing it.

04

Months 7–12

Systemise and step back

Recurring revenue, a second crew, and the admin running itself so the business does not need you in it daily.

What you get

Twelve months of it, not a course login

Weekly one-to-one coaching

Every week for twelve months, with the work between sessions written down and reviewed.

The Op3ro system, configured for your business

Your services, your rates, your job types — normally a separate build.

Pricing and cost-to-serve models

What each job actually costs you to deliver, and what it has to sell for.

Hiring, onboarding and SOP templates

Ads, interview scripts, trial-day structure and the SOPs your crew works from.

Lead generation playbooks per trade

What actually produces enquiries in the trade you picked, and what wastes money in it.

A private group with the other operators

The people twelve, six and two months ahead of you, in the same program.

Who this is not for

Four reasons to not do this. If any of them is you, we would rather you found out here.

  • You want a passive investment. This is a business, and it will take your evenings for the first six months.

  • You are not prepared to be on a job site. You will not be on the tools long-term, but you cannot run a trade business you have never physically stood inside.

  • You need the $50,000 back inside six months. You should not do this with money you cannot afford to have tied up for a year.

  • You want us to hand you customers. We give you the system that gets them. You still have to work it.

Patrick Goodyer, founder of PG AutomationsWho built it

Patrick Goodyer. Software developer. Not a tradesman.

I've never been on the tools. No trade background, no qualification, never swung a hammer for money. What I do have is six years and 300+ automation projects behind me, and a 100% job success record in the top 0.5% of Upwork's 17 million freelancers.

In July 2025 we bought a small landscaping business that ran on spreadsheets, phone calls and one person's memory. Fourteen months later it's a $5M group, and the back office never grew to match. That's not because I'm a better landscaper than you — I'm not one at all. It's because the admin runs itself.

The walkthrough is the live account, not a demo tenant: quoting a job, rostering the week, capturing receipts on site. 1,003 jobs have gone through it.

FAQ

Before the call

Do I need any trade qualification?

No — you are the owner. Your qualified tradespeople hold the licences, and we map the licensing pathway for whichever trade you pick.

What if I choose the wrong trade?

We do that analysis in months 1–2, before you commit capital. Choosing the market is the first piece of work, not an assumption you make on day one.

Can I do this while employed?

Yes for the first three to four months. Most people go full-time around the first crew hire.

What happens after twelve months?

You own the business and the software outright. No ongoing fee, no royalty.

Important

The $200,000 figure is a twelve-month target the program is built around, not a guarantee, projection or assurance of earnings. Results depend on your market, your chosen trade, the capital and time you commit, and factors outside our control. Some participants will earn more, some will earn less, and some will not reach the target. This is not financial, legal or business advice, and nothing here is an offer of a franchise. You should obtain independent advice before committing funds.
